Use CB radios, HAM radio, and social media platforms to share updates and resources

When cell towers are down or out-of-reach, many of the newer smartphones can text 911 by satellite.  Depending on which mobile carrier you choose you may be able to use their satellite service to communicate with anyone by text, and in some cases, even voice.  Several companies offer regular Internet service by satellite.
